For more than a year, art appears to be present only in the digital space. It seems that better times are coming, and a little retrospective of Dunja Nedeljković Serafin's works will illuminate the gallery space of the American Corner in Novi Sad as a symbolic "New Dawn" on May 26 at 7 p.m.

On this occasion, visitors will be able to see over 20 works by the Novi Sad artist with a rich exhibition practice and international experience whose work deals with different parts of the world all the way to the intimate, inner, human cosmos. The works that will be shown represent her most fruitful period of creativity from 2001 to 2021. The artist will guide us through various motifs that inspire her, from distant Japan to our Fortress, from the Bible to music and paragliding. But it is not only the theme and color that make her works interesting, it is also the techniques she uses. Her latest drawings and collages were created on handmade paper obtained from one of the oldest factories in the Venetian Republic. On this occasion, the audience will be able to see one of her biggest paintings - a diptych from 2012 inspired by paragliding.

Dunja Nedeljković Serafin was born in 1978 in Novi Sad. She graduated from the design school "Bogdan Šuput" in the department of art technician. She graduated from the graphic department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in 2002. She completed her postgraduate studies in graphics under the master's thesis "Landscape Novels" in 2007 in the class of Prof. Slobodan Abi Knezevic. Since 2002, she has exhibited independently in the country and abroad. So far, she has had 20 solo exhibitions. Among other things, she exhibited at the Tokyo Triennial of Small Graphics in 2002 and by invitation at the same triennial in 2005. She is a participant in numerous art colonies in the country and abroad and a selector of the 1st and 2nd art colonies of young artists of Yugoslavia, held in 2000 and 2001 in Dečje Selo Sremska Kamenica. She is actively engaged in painting and graphics in the studio No. 2 at the Petrovaradin Fortress.

The exhibition will be for sale and all those interested will be able to see it until June 26 this year, every working day from 10 am to 5 pm in the gallery of the American Corner Novi Sad - Kej žrtava racije 2b.
