In observance of the Black History Month, American Corner Niš and Jasmine Passa, Fulbright student, organize a POETRY SLAM for high school students. Program will consist of two separate events.
Poetry workshop – Tuesday, February 21st, 17.30-19h
Poetry Out Loud Event – Tuesday, February 28th, 17.30-19h
High school students are invited to participate in a Black History Month celebration highlighting the impacts of the arts in the struggle for black rights in the U.S.
After learning about various black artists, participants will pick and memorize a poem written by a black writer and recite it at our Poetry Out Loud event the following week.
