How important is it to have a vision?


On April 13th at 5:00pm, Mr. Maynard "Rink" Wheeler, who is a senior associate with CGR Management Consultants and has over fifty years of experience in business and consulting, will held a lecture on "Importance of having a vision". He will also discuss business principles, importance of education and impact of international student exchange programs.

The lecture will be held in English language.

Lecture is organized by the FLEX Alumni Association of Serbia, with the support of the American Corner and Belgrade Youth Center.

Mr. Wheeler is a senior associate with CGR Management Consultants where he specializes in food and beverage manufacturing and distribution operations. Rink has over fifty years of experience in business and consulting. Before joining CGR, he held the position of Vice President of Operations for the Food’s Division of the Coca-Cola Company. In this position he was responsible for the plant operations of aseptic and chilled fruit juices, canned beverages, coffee as well as production planning and distribution associated with those products.

Prior to Coca-Cola, Mr. Wheeler was with CPC International for 18 years. While with CPC he held many key management positions in manufacturing, marketing and sales in both their national and international operations.

Mr. Wheeler received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Wheeler also served two years as an officer in the United States Army. Through the US government, Mr. Wheeler has assisted in the start up of new companies in Poland, the Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

Upon retiring Mr.Wheeler held the position of Leland Public School(Michigan) board member where he worked on advising other board members on the implementation of the school's vision to be a school that educates on important skills in technology and natural and social sciences but also prepares students to work in a global world by exposing them to different cultures through exchange programs.
