One of the most important patrons of ACNS are the kids!

 

American Corner Novi Sad organizes various activities for children where they can learn English and have fun. Usually, the time for kids is on Fridays at 5 when the program Kids’ Corner is organized.

 

Some of the traditional programs for kids we organized so far are:

Storytelling time

Creative workshops marking important dates (New Year, Christmas, Easter, March 8, Halloween etc.)

What children usually do for American Holidays?

 

Christmas:

Kids can: dye hard-boiled eggs; hunt for eggs

-show love for one another

Kids can: give each other small cards or candies; give out candy hearts

 

Halloween:

-dress up in costume

-go from door to door saying "Trick or Treat" and the families give candy

-pumpkin carving

Kids can: dress up; paint their faces; make masks; carve or paint pumpkins
