American Corner Subotica is a cultural, educational and information center, an American-style library. The project is the result of cooperation between the City of Subotica and the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. American Corner in Subotica  was opened on  12 October, 2006. AC provides access to current and reliable information about the U.S. via book collections, the Internet, and through local programming to the general public. It also serves as an information outpost similar to a public library reference service. The multi-media, book and periodical collections are open and accessible. Associated reading or meeting rooms are made available to host program events and activities (i.e. author readings, speaker programs, workshops, films, meetings, and exhibitions).

American Corner consists of a collection of books in English about the U.S. The book collection includes reference titles, works of fiction, business and government publications.

American Corner also provides access to U.S. information through Internet access, audio and video products, and CD-ROMs. Access to American Corner’s collection is free and open to all interested citizens.
